Civil Science provided design services for the Salt Lake City Quiet Zone at 200 South, Orange Street, Navajo Street, 1000 West a $5.6 million project aimed at improving safety and reducing train horn noise through roadway and rail reconstruction. Working closely with Salt Lake City, Union Pacific Railroad, and Salt Lake Garfield & Western Railroad, the team navigated complex federal and railroad approval processes to establish a compliant quiet zone. Leveraging prior experience and proactive coordination, Civil Science delivered a design that enhances community livability and strengthens the firm’s partnership with the City.
